The Competition

How to enter the Competition When you purchase products you will need to enter the competition via the Hunting & Fishing New Zealand competition website, www.winathuntingandfishing.co.nz . Every $50 spend gives you one entry into the competition – i.e., spend $50, receive 1 entry, spend $200 receive 4 entries, spend $400 and receive 8 entries, spend $1000 and receive 20 entries. When you enter the draw online, we will ask you to provide some personal information. Please see our Privacy Statement as to what this information is required for, how we will use it and what your rights are with respect to that information and our collection of it. We will only issue entries during the Competition Period – you will only be able to register your entry up until 23:59 pm 28th Feb 2023. You must be over 18 years of age to enter the competition and you must be a NZ resident living in NZ. Proof of purchase must be provided by the winner. Employees of Toyota New Zealand Limited (Toyota NZ) or Hunting & Fishing New Zealand; and any of their immediate families cannot enter the Competition.

The Draw during the month of March 2023 - for the duration of the Win A Ute promotion - 1 winner will be randomly selected by a computer-generated random selection programme. If you are the person selected, Hunting & Fishing New Zealand will contact you directly and at that time may ask to see and verify your receipt of the purchase of your Products. Hunting & Fishing New Zealand and or Toyota NZ may also post the names of prize winners on the Hunting & Fishing New Zealand or Toyota NZ social media and or Digital Media platforms and pages, Hunting & Fishing New Zealand or Toyota NZ Instagram site and via EDM to the Hunting & Fishing New Zealand or Toyota NZ databases and entrants of the Win A Ute promotion. This random selection and announcement will happen no later than the 20th of March 2023. By the 20th of March 2023 the first prize winner will be announced.

Hunting & Fishing New Zealand reserves the right to accept or decline any entry if the proof of purchase cannot be definitively confirmed.

If Hunting & Fishing New Zealand cannot contact a winner within 48 hours and all reasonable attempts – via phone & email have been attempted, Hunting & Fishing New Zealand will re-draw that person’s place in the Competition.

Details around the prize:

1: All entrants go in the draw to win one (1) Toyota Hilux 4WD SR5 Cruiser Double Cab (“Prize”).

2: The Prize is a KFDTR Hilux 4WD Double Cab SR5 Cruiser (‘Hilux’) valued at $63,390.00 which is the “Toyota Driveaway Price.”

3: The Prize includes on-road costs which consists of twelve months’ vehicle registration and Warrant of Fitness, 5,000km Road User Charges (RUC) license, a full tank of fuel and floormats.

4: The Prize may vary from one shown on any promotional material and is at the discretion of the Promoter.

5: If the model of the Hilux shown in the Promotional artwork is unavailable, Toyota NZ will provide an equivalent vehicle. The Promoter has no control over this matter, and it is at Toyota’s discretion.

6: The Winner must supply the relevant Toyota Dealer (advised at the time of notification of winning the Prize) with a valid New Zealand driver’s license to enable the Toyota Dealer to register the Hilux in the Winner’s name.

7: Insurance of the Prize needs to be arranged by the Winner.

8: Toyota NZ will provide the Hilux with Toyota Care Service Advantage. Further details on what this includes, as well as requirements and exclusions can be found at www.toyota.co.nz.

9: The Hilux is not eligible for any other New Vehicle campaign benefit advertised by Toyota at the time.

10: The Prize handover will take place at the nearest Toyota Dealer as advised to the Winner by the Promoter and at a time agreeable by all parties. The handover is complete when the Prize is in the Winner’s possession. All related liability of owning a vehicle is then passed to the Winner.

11: Neither the Promoter nor the relevant Toyota Dealer will have any responsibility regarding the vehicle, including any injury or damage caused by the negligence of the Winner once the handover is complete.

12. The Prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable

Indemnity clause required:

The Trip:

The group will be staying the night on board at the wharf in Mangonui, during this time you will have the opportunity to catch Yellowtail Mackerel for live bait, as you will not be able to catch these at the Kings.  Before you depart the Skipper will provide a safety briefing.  The Skipper will let you know what, where and how fish have been recently caught and advise a game plan for the trip based on what you want to catch.  


On Arrival:


Accommodation                 

The first night is spent at the wharf the group will stay on board to catch live bait

and depart early the following morning, no need for additional accommodation. If you plan on staying in Mangonui before or after your trip there are several motels in the area and the local pub has cheap rooms for the night.  Try www.acacia.co.nz  or www.mangonuihotel.co.nz


Storage

Due to restricted storage aboard, please unload chilly bins and leave in your vehicles.

Be aware there is very little storage space for bags, keep large suitcases to a minimum. There is some storage room for diving tanks if you would like to combine some diving into your trip.  We do not have a compressor on board for refills.


Parking

Parking of cars is provided by a private resident in Coopers Beach. This is at a cost of $10 per day per car/van.  Please let the Skipper know you require parking on arrival, and he will arrange transfer of vehicles once unloaded.  


Beverages

If you choose to bring alcohol or cold drinks, all boats have enclosed insulated iced bins to store them in.  Tea and coffee are provided free on all trips.  


Incidentals


Power:                                   

240v plugs are available onboard to charge phones, cameras etc


Cellphone/Internet:           

There is no coverage at the Three Kings, if you need to be contacted we have emergency devices on board which can be accessed by emailing enchanter@xtra.co.nz or phone 07-3088286.


TV/DVD: 

All are available on board if you wish to bring movies etc to watch during travelling time.  Cova Rose also has satellite TV.


Bedding:                                

There are 8 single bunks on each boat.  We supply pillows but you will need to bring sleeping bags.  If you are travelling from overseas and you have trouble bringing these let us know ahead of time and we will arrange this for you.


Air Conditioning:                  

All boats have air-conditioning units to provide airflow and heating.


Clothing:                               

You will be fishing during the warmer months in NZ, expect days of 18 –22C during the day and cooler nights down to 12 – 8C.  You may experience some rainfall so a waterproof jacket is a good idea.

For footwear, whatever is comfortable and stable footing, please do not bring black rubber soled gumboots as these mark our decks.


Bathroom:                             

There are full household sized toilets onboard all boats.  Showers and bathroom facilities. Shower times are restricted due to LIMITED water carrying capacity. 


Fish Holds:                             

There are large fish holds onboard full of salted ice to keep the catch in optimum condition.  Fish are processed on the way home with help of the group, it is filleted, boned and skinned and placed in bags ready for the freezer.  Please bring some large snaplock / plastic bags to put fish in.  These can then be unloaded at the wharf into your chilly bins for the trip home


Other T’s & C’s

  • Winners will need to make their own travel arrangements to get to Mangonui as per the details above. If you can’t make the trip the dates the prize is voided. 
  • The trip is non-transferrable from the original winner unless agreed to by either Brittain Wynyard or Hunting & Fishing. The trip can’t be on sold for profit. 
  • If the trip is cancelled due to weather, the trip will be rebooked for another date. 
  • If a winner misses the trip there will be no reimbursement for the value of the trip from Brittain Wynyard or Hunting & Fishing NZ 
  • If the trip is totally cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstance, Brittain Wynyard and Hunting & Fishing NZ will not be liable to pay out for the cost of the trip to the winners.
  • If the trip is cancelled in its entirety Brittain Wynyard will provide the winners with the equivalent value of the trip in Daiwa product to the RRP value of $3,700. This will not be provided to individual winners that miss the trip. 
  • Any loss or breakage due to misuse will be the responsibility of the person to repay the values of the product broken.
